My Birthday!

Well, yesterday was my birthday and it was a fantastic day and what a blast my birthday was. I had a fantastic day, with fantastic friends and family (with a small amount of work during the day).

Actually, my birthday was the first day we started boxing fitness training at work, and god the pain. Good pain but, the kind you enjoy, the kind that lets you know you're alive, the kind where you feel your muscles growing, the kind... oh, you know what I mean.

So my birthday also acted as a house warming of sorts for Jo and Steve's new fantastic house. It's absolutely amazing, and was well worth the time they've waited for it.

We had a great night, with the cosmos and Chilian Champagne flowing freely. It was great to get all of my friends together for an occasion, especially one that focused on me, and meant I got presents.
And presents I got! Not only did a get some great things to inspire me to do some fantastic cooking (wok, cook book, voucher for an awesome Kitchen ware store), but I also scored some other fantastic presents including tea and a couple of bottles of Veuve Clicquot (one of them is ear marked for you Amy!)
A huge thank you to everyone for coming, and for the great gifts, and more importantly the great memories. It was such a special night, made special by everyone present in their own way.

The Wait was worth it... Kylie was amazing

Can I just say, OH MY GOD!

I have watched more than my fair share of Kylie concerts on DVD, but none of these could have come close to preparing me for how amazing the Showgirl was in person.

Absolutely amazing. I was standing there (Saturday 18/11) during the Locomotion thinking, 'My whole life has been building up to this moment.' It was just an amazing performance, from start to finish.

The customes, the set, the dancers, everything. They were all just spectacular, an amazing blur of movement, colour, music and excitment.

But none of it came close to topping Kylie. She delivered an flawless performance, making you love each song more than the last one. And after the show she took the time to come out on stage, and thank everyone for their support and for being so patient.

I was very hung over the day I got my tickets, over 18 months ago, and the pain of that day and the wait since was well worth it.
